Netiquette
When you call someone on the phone, what is the first word that comes out of your mouth? "Hello." Why is it any different for emails? When you ask someone a question, do you say "do this for me" or do you ask "could you please do me a favor?" It is no different online.
In an effort to halt poor netiquette in this community, no staff member of The Pagan Online Campus will answer emails that break the cardinal rule - demand without consideration for the other person.
Here a few guidelines to follow when contacting a staff member:
- 1 - Use "please, thank you, could you, I'd appreciate it. Just as you like to feel appreciated and know that others recognize the fact that this is a favor, we do to.
- 2 - Staff emails (@thepagancampus.net) are used for campus material. Do not send chain letters, personal material, or flame through emails, do that on your own time, on their personal account. If you don't have their personal account, don't do it at all.
- 3 - IMs are provided for help, please only use them for this unless the instructor says it is ok.
